As a reminder, the story started with a visit to the Russian city of Blagoveshchensk by the investigative reporter Richard Black. In the article, he outlined how many homes in the area had been "abandoned" by authorities because of contamination from their drinking supply.

After conducting his investigation, Black traveled to Bulgaria, Moldova, Romania, Moldova, Ukraine, and Belarus. There, he found that some of the sources from which his drinking water came were even worse.

The source for his water was a river named "Titushko." Black says he was told that there was absolutely no risk to his health. So why did he go back to the same city? The answer is pretty simple.
