When the famous author Pushkin wrote a novel entitled The Crazies, one of the characters stated in the prologue, "The greatest tragedy of my life was the time I spent trying to find good drinking water". He went on to say that he had discovered a mountain where, in the course of his research for the novel, he had found some springs and they were indeed quite pure. He drank some from them and was fascinated by the taste. To cut a long story short, he sent it to his publisher, asking him if he could use the name of the mountain in the book as the source of his drinking water.

After reviewing the story and approving of the way the story was told, the publisher replied that he would be happy to use the name and offered to send along samples of pure Russian water.
